Ohio Wesleyan University is pleased to announce its 2017 fall semester Dean's List. To qualify for OWU Dean's List recognition, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes. Congratulations, Bishops, on this outstanding academic achievement!
A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Ohio Wesleyan University held its 173rd commencement ceremony on May 13, 2017. The OWU Class of 2017 included 383 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with students representing 20 countries from Afghanistan to Venezuela. Six student athletes from Bates College have received New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Sportsmanship distinction for the winter 2016 season.
The New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic honor is awarded to Bates varsity letter winners who have reached sophomore academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

Georgia State University's College of Education inducted 31 of its students into the Omicron Gamma chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education.
The following students from the Colgate University Class of 2016 have been inducted into the Colgate chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national scholastic honorary society that recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students. The approximately 167 students who received the prestigious distinction for having earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the 2011-2012 academic year were honored at a fall banquet.
